Daily Schedule

A typical Preschool child's day would include:

6:00-9:00     Supervised Free Play
Children who bring in their breakfast may eat in the breakfast                      room between 6:00 and 7:00.
9:00-9:40      Circle time (calendar, finger plays, songs and stories)
9:40              Restroom break and washing hands for snack
9:45-10:10     Snack time
10:10-10:30    Gym time/Large motor activities
10:30-11:10    Teacher facilitated activities that may include: language/literacy, math, science, art, social studies, and music.
11:10-11:30     Playground (weather permitting)
11:30-11:45     Nursery school only time ends.  Restroom break and washing hands for lunch
11:45-12:15    Lunchtime
12:15-12:40    Lunch clean-up, restroom, getting ready for rest time
12:45-2:15     Rest time: Teachers read stories and play quiet music.
2:15-2:30       Wake up time
2:30-2:40     Restroom break and hand washing for snack
2:40-3:00     Snack time
3:00-4:30     Gyms or playground for large motor and free choice activities
4:30-6:00     All classes are in their classrooms for center activities until pick-up time.

*Children are not all in the gym at the same time.  There is a scheduled time for each class.


A typical School age child's day (during the school year) would include:

6:00-8:00     Supervised Free Play
Children who bring in their breakfast may eat in the breakfast                      room between 6:00 and 7:00.
8:00-8:20     Clean-up time and restroom break.  Children get all their school supplies together and wait for the bus.
3:45             Children arrive from school.  Restroom break and washing hands for snack.
3:45-4:00     Snack time
4:00-4:30     1st and 2nd grade: Gym or playground for large motor activities
4:00-4:30     3rd-6th grade: Homework time
4:30-5:00     3rd-6th grade:Gym or playground for large motor activities
5:00-6:00     All classes are in their classrooms for supervised free play.

12:40-1:00     Story and puzzles (silent reading time for older children)
1:00-2:00      Playground or Gym
2:00-2:30     Center time in the classroom
2:30-2:40     Restroom break and hand washing for snack
2:40-3:00     Snack time
3:00-3:30     Clean-up, Supervised free play
3:30-4:30     Playground
4:30-6:00     All classes are in their classrooms for center activities until pick-up time.
